Luasc does. It is a tennis score keeper for Apple Watch, iPhone and iPad, made in Ireland by a player who kept forgetting the score. You tap once per point and it keeps the games, the sets, deuce, the tiebreak, the doubles service order and the change of ends, and records the whole session as a tennis workout in Apple Health.

Luasc is Irish for “swing”. It is pronounced LOO‑sk. Everything on this page is here to be used: the screenshots are the app rather than mock‑ups, and the two share cards are files the app really exports.

Share cards

The bit no other tennis app can send you.

Every finished match makes a card, drawn on the phone rather than on a server: the scoreboard across the top, a column per set, and a choice of what goes underneath. These two are real exports, in the 4:5 post shape. There is also a 9:16 story shape.

Luasc (LOO‑sk, Irish for “swing”) is a tennis score keeper for Apple Watch, iPhone and iPad. You score the match from your wrist, one swipe per point, and it keeps the games, the sets, deuce, the tiebreak, the doubles service order and the change of ends. The whole session, warm-up included, is recorded as a tennis workout in Apple Health, and the iPhone mirrors the board for whoever is on the bench, out loud if you want it. Every finished match keeps its full stats and a point-by-point momentum chart, and makes a share card drawn on the phone. It is free, with an optional Luasc Pro subscription for unlimited history and per-player records. Made in Ireland by Colm Doyle, a club player who kept forgetting the score.

Three things worth knowing

  • Scoring and the workout are one act. Start the warm-up, play, and the tennis workout with heart rate, distance and energy is in Health afterwards. Nobody has to remember to start it.
  • The rules are the feature. Deuce and advantage, no-ad, seven-point tiebreaks, ten-point match tiebreaks, advantage sets that run to 8–6, and the doubles serving order each pair may choose again at every set.
  • It works with nobody else installing anything. One watch, or one phone, scores the whole match. Your partner and the other pair need nothing.

And what it isn't

Luasc doesn't call lines, doesn't coach, and doesn't watch you play. There's no camera and no sensor doing the judging: a person decides who won the point, and Luasc counts. Scoring on the phone with no watch records no workout, because iPhones can't run a live workout session.
